Garage Gator kayaj

Great works perfect. Second Garage Gator I have purchased, the first for my bikes. Restores floor space to garage, lucky I have 14' ceilings!

Works Great! Fairly Straightforward installation

I needed to hoist my 100+ lb. rigged Hobie kayak above my truck with only 9' of garage height. The Garage Gator does the job. I had to work around a few obstructions below and above the ceiling, so installation took a bit longer than planned (5 hrs). Definitely lay it out on the garage floor and make sure all joists are where you expect them to be. Now I can drop the kayak in the truck bed, strap it down, and be on the road in about 5 minutes. I usually lift the kayak from a wheeled cart after cleaning it up, instead of from the truck bed. Since this pic was taken, I've ditched the automotive ratchet straps for 6' padded lifting straps that hook to the provided bike hooks on the Gator's bar. No need for the safety ropes anymore.
